What's with the weave ponytail?
I'll tell you a little story about my decision to go natural. One Sunday, I was sitting in a relatively large church service and out of curiosity and a bit if boredom I decided to check-out hairdos. I am not kidding. Out of about 400 women, nearly all had a phony-pony. Some were long and straight, some big and wavy, some were even kinky-style. Really? You buy nappy-styled hair to put on your straightened hair? There was one lone natural sister. I just could not leave her hanging.
Black girls love a weave ponytail. It matters not if the tail and the roots do not match up. And textures? Who cares about matching textures? LOL
Weave ponytails I've never been a fan of. No type of ponytails. They pull your sides out. lol. And I want to keep my sides.
I do like wearing weaves/wigs every now and then though. My hair is natural as well, and I just like to switch it up every once in a while. I get bored very easily (with everything) so I need variety. I actually just took a weave out (had it in for about 5 days), but I was starting to miss my own hair. (Also, was kind of annoyed that I was getting all these compliments from guys that I see everyday, after I put the weave in...)

I feel you on the compliments for fake hair. I don't know how to pick or wear wigs or weaves. i have a rather large head. LOL
