Natural, relaxed, fried, dyed and laid to the side, black girls love their hair. It has inspired some great catch phrases:
It if you can't grow it, sew it!
If you can't achieve it, weave it!
Many women have forgone the pool on a hot, summer day for fear of messing up the do. Our hairstyles often mark milestones in our lives. I was a wide-eyed dreamy child dreading the straightening comb, a precocious teen rocking relaxers, and now a secure young woman owning the natural.
Where are you in your hair journey?

My hair journey has lead me to a head of almost all gray and white hair which I have been wearing in twist that I do myself for 18. I colored my hair for many years and had to do it frequently, well I can't do that amore my scalp is in rebelion so if I want her on my head no dye. I am so board with my hair style, which I get a complenent on at least once a week. I am experimenting with curl product. I want something that will allow me to have my two types of hair natural, every day without a big production. I want to get up moisten my hair with something, run my fingers through it and go. Sometimes I take the twist out for a few days before washing, but it is missing something in a product so I can style just a bit. Help please.

What type of hair do you have? The more descriptive the better. There are Miss Jessies products (kinda expensive), Curls, or natural oils, honey, and apple cider vigegar regimens. I may add a hair recipe later.
About the graying hair. Iread that premature graying may be a vitamin ir mineral deficiency. Taking a one-a-day may help in that area.

Hi There! Thanks so much for getting back to me, things have been a little hectic, I am now visiting PA for my grandson High School graduation. This week I will be going to the DC Area to hopeful meet my grandson that is due any day now.
I have 2 types of hair maybe 3; the top is looselly curled and wavey, while the sides and back are more of a kinky curl. The sides and back are just about to hit my shoulders and the top is almost to that length too. Enjoy the rest of your day. thanks.

Sometimes a good clarifying rinse with apple cider vinegar and a trimming of ends works wonders. Main thing is to keep the hair clean and free from product build up. Use absorbant oils like grapeseed and coconut oils. Products are habit forming. Your best bet is to keep hair as close to natural as possible. I do use gel every now in then when I need extra hold. Mostly, a non-alcohol mouse will do. Good luck.

Natural hair is so beautiful. I love everything hair so I don't always wear my hair natural but when I do I always makes me feel so free.
